A Long Tradition of Excellence

For more than twenty-seven years, Adult Care of Chester County has been providing adult day services to the local community. We first opened our doors in 1983 under the name Pat's Adult Day Care Center and though we've grown, and made changes to our location and our name over the years, we still offer the personalized, from-the-heart care that has characterized us since the start. From our beginnings in one tiny center, to the variety of services offered today in three locations, ACCC has been setting the standard in adult day services from the start.

Landmarks in Our History:

2011: We open our Under-60 Center adjacent to our Southern Chester County Center in Kennett Square. This Center serves individuals under the age of 60 with developmental disabilities.

2010: We are awarded the Excellence in Care Program of Distinction Award from the Alzheimer's Foundation of America.

2004: We open our Southern Chester County Center in Kennett Square.

1999: We open a full commercial kitchen in our Exton center. We also start an exercise program with free weights.

1997: We move into our new, custom-designed facility in Exton.

1993: ACCC is selected by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation to be part of a national demonstration project. With this funding, we form the Kilpatrick Memorial, Friendship Circle, and Club programs. Music Therapy is also added to the core services of the center.

1988: We move to a new location, combining both centers. Our name - Adult Care of Chester County, Inc. - is established.

1987: We open a second center in Kennett Square.

1983: We first open our doors in Exton, PA.
